FR Historique

The church dates from the 12th century. Its first foundations, however, date from the fifth century. This parish church was also a place of worship for the priory near the village, hence its location outside of Valaurie. The whole building was weakened many times, in particular by an earthquake, in 1934, then during the Second World War, when the bell was cracked. Its condition has already given rise to several stages of work. The one concerning the bell tower is co-financed by the Heritage Foundation, to the tune of 11,865 euros.

It has been registered as a historical monument since July 17, 1926.

Architecture
The church is in the Provencal Romanesque style, with a semicircular apse. It measures 7.48 meters wide and 9.80 meters long, for a height of 21.75 meters.
It is one of the rare examples in the Tricastin region to have such an advanced bell tower on the facade, offering a main arched entrance porch. It ends with a stone pyramid roof. The nave of the building has 3 bays. The apse has the particularity of having a semi-circular shape on the inside and pentagonal on the outside.

Behind the altar at the back of the church we can see a stained glass window by the painter René Margotton, sharing the mantle of Saint Martin.
