04 Jun 1939"Mayor T.F. Connally said Saturday that work on the Clarendon city park project will start Monday.
Funds for improvements will come through a recent $4,294 WPA grant. A. C. Donnell will supervise the project.
The plans for the park include construction of fences, picnic units, bridges, small buildings, etc."
