Sur le devant du monument, au-dessus des reliefs se trouvent la citation suivante << La Force des gens d'ici - 1541>>, et un poème intitulé : Mille cinq cent quarante et un.
The monument bearing the bronze reliefs of Jacques Cartier and his ship, la Grande Ermine, is located in front of the entrance to the church of St. Felix. On the front of the monument, above the reliefs is the following citation "La Force des gens d'ici - 1541", and a poem titled: Mille cinq cent quarante et un (One thousand five hundred and forty-one).
