DE: Im Westturm des um 1194 gegründeten Benediktinerinnen-Klosters St. Johannis befinden sich in etwa acht Metern Höhe zwei Glocken. Diese schwingen in Ost-West-Richtung und haben entsprechend eine durchgehende Öffnung in der Wand des Turmes. Wann die beiden etwa 60 cm durchmessenden Glocken gegossen wurden, ließ sich leider nicht belegbar ermitteln, man kann aber Anhand der direkt darunter angebrachten Jahreszahl 1735 vermuten, dass die Glocken zu dieser Zeit in den Turm kamen.

EN: In the west tower of the Benedictine convent of St. Johannis, founded around 1194, there are two bells at a height of about eight meters. These swing in an east-west direction and accordingly have a continuous opening in the wall of the tower. Unfortunately, it could not be determined when the two bells with a diameter of about 60 cm were cast, but based on the year 1735 directly underneath on the wall, one can assume that the bells came into the tower at this time.
