This cut stone plinth holding the time capsule is located on the southwestern grounds of the Mountain Home Municipal Building. The plinth is approximately 2 foot square with a 3 inch lip. There is a small metal plate centered in the plinth that reads:
Mountain Home Arkansas
Centennial Time Capsule
(seal of the City of Mountain Home)
Buried 1985
1888 - 1989
I found no information on the time capsule other than this. My guess is that it will be opened in 2089 by the City, and it was the city that that buried it. As the marker states, it commemorate the Centennial of the incorporation of Mountain Home.
