This one-story brick building is at the west end of a complex of school buildings. It is L-shaped and at the northeast corner of W. Dakota and S. 2nd Streets. The school appears to be currently vacant and not in use.
The main entrance is located on the south elevation and consists of two metal doors, recessed into the brick wall. The roof is flat, and there are large nine-segment triple window units on the west and north elevations. Five segments of each unit have been covered, leaving two double-hung units open.
At the southwest corner of the school is a large two-sided cornerstone which indicates that the school was built in 1939 under the auspices of the Federal Emergency Administration of Public Works (FEMA). It reads:
Federal Emergency
Administration of Public Works
Franklin D. Roosevelt
President of the United States
-------
Harold L. Ickes
Administrator of Public Works
------
Lincoln School
1939
The second side of the cornerstone lists Board of Education / W. L. Bonnell, Pres., Paul P. Ferguson, Vice Pres., Members Owen Vaughn, Clark W. Trammell, John W. Casey / T. T. Montgomery, Supt., R.G. Parrish, Princ. / Jones & Wilkinson, Contr., Paul Harris, Archt.
