Trees are great. Using carbon dioxide and producing oxygen, nice. They also drop things; needles, leaves, berries, etc. Sometime we need to drop the trees and then have to figure out what to do with the stump, be it short or tall. This one might be to tall to call a stump.

Height aside, this tree has been turned into a Lending Library. Some quality chainsaw work was done to create an opening in the tree that size of a decretive window and a bookcase was built into the tree. The window lets visitors see inside the library and also acts as a door.

When my wife and I visited the book selection was mostly adult fiction with some children's books as well. Like many other libraries this location also had a selection of DVDs. For people younger then me, a DVD is a hard copy of a streaming movie. For those older, a DVD is one of those new fangled VCR tapes.

Even if you are not looking to pick up or drop off a book this library is well worth a visit to see the doors, windows and roof. Be sure to checkout the chimney.
