According to her obituary published following her death in 2015 at age seventeen.

"Corey Rose Camossi, 17, died unexpectedly January 21st. Corey was born in Holyoke and lived in West Springfield her entire life. She was a student at Minnechaug Regional High School and loved to swim, ice skate, and to spend time with her family and friends. And although she never spoke a word, her voice and thoughts could always be heard. Her gentle spirit will live on in those who has the privilege of knowing and loving her." Obituary Link
