ARTESIA - Water Tank - Water Towers on Waymarking.com

My Aunt and Uncle live here and have for about 20 years now.
We see this tank and the Compress Tank every time we go to visit them.
They did not know what a benchmark was so I showed them a few.

Now I will have to introduce them to WAYMARKING.

DESCRIBED BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1975 (JRS) THE STATION, ARTESIA MUNICIPAL WATER TANK, IS THE CENTER OF THE TOP OF A 150 FEET HIGH, ELEVATED WATER TANK, PAINTED WHITE AND TYPE BEING A PEDESTAL SPHERE TYPE. IT IS LOCATED AT THE INTERSECTION OF CLEVELAND AVENUE AND 8TH STREET IN ARTESIA. IT IS OWNED BY THE CITY OF ARTESIA.
