"The free public laundry is another of the common foundations of the García Naveira Brothers. It was built in 1902.
It is a purely functional two-storey building. It has two rows of laundries (to be used according to the tides), has capacity for 22 simultaneous washerwomen and has lareira and covered dryers.
The García Naveira Brothers esptipulated a series of clauses for its use:
- That it was public and free.
- Preference for use for professional laundresses, that is, those who make a living from it.
-It cannot be marketed with its facilities.
-The Council will be in charge of its conservation and surveillance.
-Over the years it underwent reforms in the upper part and is currently still in use."
