Located on the hill in Crane Missouri it can be seen for quite a ways.
This town is right along the Trail of Tears and Old Wire Road.
Civil War Soldiers marched right through here as well as the Indians before them.

DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1959 (GWM) THE STATION IS THE CENTER OF THE TOP OF THE WATER TANK. THE TANK IS A FOUR LEGGED STEEL STRUCTURE PAINTED SILVER WITH THE LEGEND CRANE PAINTED ON THE NORTH AND SOUTH SIDES IN BLACK LETTERS. THE OVERALL HEIGHT IS ABOUT 125 FEET. THE TANK IS LOCATED IN THE NORTHEAST SECTION OF CRANE AND IS OWNED BY THE CITY OF CRANE.
