This citizen memorial is a garden and plaque dedicated to Msgr. James E. Sperry at Our Lady of Mercy Church on Bartlett Road in Harborcreek, Pennsylvania. Msgr. Sperry was the former pastor of the parish. The plaque is afixed to a large rock next to a garden with a statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the middle. The garden was formerly a large rose garden, but is now a mix of plants and bushes.
The text on the plaque reads:

As a rose Monsignor James E. Sperry like Jesus Christ taught us by word and example that in dying to self we rise to new life.
With devotion, recollection and love, we dedicate the Mystical Rose Garden in honor of his 25th anniversary as our pastor.
