PR 1 (acronym of "Pequena Rota", short route) is a circular trail which starts and ends near the picturesque church of . Sr.ª da Consolação, built on the 16th century.
It has 4,5 km and it's very easy, with no climbing or descents. However it's not advised to walk this (or any other in the region) in the peak or the summer, as temperatures can be extreme.
Spring is definitely the best time of the year to fully enjoy PR 1. By then the flowers will be blossoming and temperatures should be pleasant.
Its trailhead is very close to the small town of Alandroal. Easy parking right on the spot.
