Tanglewood is a popular music venue that is located in the towns of Lenox and Stockbridge, MA. It is the summer home of the Boston Symphony Orchestra. The south entrance is guarded by a pair of red lion sculptures. It is a pedestrian only entrance and known as the Lions Gate. It located on West Hawthorne Rd in Stockbridge, MA.
The lion sculptures are well known and sometimes used in the promotional material for Tanglewood. Looking south the lions frame the Stockbridge Bowl and Monument Mountain. They are both sitting with their front legs raised.
