CZ: Mesto Neratovice zakoupilo bustu, jako soucást pomníku T. G. Masaryka, za 6800 Kc od jubilejního fondu ceskoslovenského zahranicí asi v cervnu roku 1938. Celý pomník mel být postaven pred školou, tehdy ješte nesoucí název Masarykova, a slavnostne odhalen 28. ríjna 1938 k dvacátému výrocí Ceskoslovenské republiky. Prišla zrada Mnichovské dohody, zábor pohranicí a nejistota druhé republiky. Na popud obecního tajemníka a též významného sokolského cinitele pana Jaroslava Repy byl pomník skládající se ze trí cástí: busty, podlouhlého soklu a hranatého spodního podstavce, pietne a obezretne uložen zamestnancem obecního úradu Josefem Šárou a školníkem panem Nápravníkem, za asistence obecního strážníka Josefa Novotného do prístenku pod schodištem ve škole, kde naproti je dnes vchod do jídelny. Zde byla busta ukrývána po celou dobu okupace, obklopena neodevzdanými strelnými rucními zbranemi, cekající na konec války. Po osvobození, 28. kvetna 1945, v den 61. narozenin prezidenta republiky Dr. E. Beneše, zacala busta sloužit svému úcelu. Prešlo nekolik let a busta zacala podruhé nekomu vadit. Aby nedošlo k jejímu znicení, jako to pozdeji postihlo puvodní podstavec, byla v noci tajne zakopána p. Nápravníkem, bývalým pomocným ucitelem p. Nemcem a dalšími starostlivými obcany na dvore za školní budovou u vchodu na školní zahradu. Zde byla pohrbena patnáct let. 21. dubna 1968 poté znovu spatrila svetlo sveta. 30. dubna 1968 busta opet stála na svém míste. Opet uplynula léta a 18. brezna 1975 byla, tentokrát úredne, z príkazu stranických orgánu, odstranena a uložena v depozitári v Medonosích za Melníkem. Zde ji dalších patnáct let pokrýval prach zapomnení. Naštestí cerstvý závan dejin privál opetnou zmenu a s ní i úspešnou snahu k jejímu tretímu instalování a slavnostnímu znovuodhalení. Tak se stalo 7. brezna 1990, k 140. výrocí narození T. G. Masaryka.

Tomáš Garrigue Masaryk, T. G. M. nebo TGM (* 7. 3. 1850 – 14. 9. 1937) byl státník, politik, filozof a pedagog, první prezident Ceskoslovenské republiky. Za jeho zásluhy o stát mu parlament udelil titul Prezident Osvoboditel, celkem sedmnáctkrát byl navržen na Nobelovu cenu míru.

Years passed again and on March 18, 1975, this time officially, by order of the party authorities, it was removed and stored in the depository in Medonosy behind Melník. Here she was covered in the dust of oblivion for another fifteen years. Fortunately, a fresh breeze of history brought about a change again, and with it a successful effort to install it for the third time and re-discover it. This happened on March 7, 1990, on the 140th anniversary of the birth of T. G. Masaryk.

Tomáš Garrigue Masaryk, T. G. M. or TGM (* 7 March 1850 - 14 September 1937) was a statesman, politician, philosopher and educator, the first president of the Czechoslovak Republic. For his merits in the state, Parliament awarded him the title of Liberator, nominated seventeen times for the Nobel Peace Prize.
