In Marstal Harbor on the wall next to HCC Boatyard, Hans Krull and Peter Birk painted this large mural in 2020. It is a very colorful mural which is a tribute to the women in Marstal. Previously, Marstal was a seafaring town where all the sailors were away for several months at a time. Meanwhile, the women were at home looking after the house and children, waiting for their husbands to come home. Over time, many women have experienced that their husbands have perished at sea.

"This painting is actually a bit of a tribute to the women who were waiting at home in Marstal for their husbands. They were probably the real heroes. That's why we paint a sailor and a mermaid kissing each other goodbye. But they each turn their own way, because they kiss each other in the mind, Hans Krull tells about the big mural. All colors are present in the painting in the form of palm leaves. A large blue field is at once a man and a woman, and several ships at sea. A braided rope is seen both at the top and bottom of the painting.
The mural can only be seen from a distance, as it is located in a fenced area.
