The Coalgate Fire Department and Public Safety Building is located at 3 S. Main. Poor Smokey has been out in the sun too long. His beautiful colors have faded. He is dressed in a blue Fire Dept. shirt, and is holding a shovel in his left hand. The name COALGATE is written on his hat.

Alongside Smokey is a sign whih shows that the fire danger was LOW on the day of our visit.
