To reach the overlook there are designated parking area with trails leading up to the ridge. To make the hike easier the trails use switch backs to climb up the steep sides of the mountain
The Nittany Valley is located in the geographic province of Pennsylvania named the Ridge and Valley Province. This area lies east of the Allegheny Front and is so called because of the wide valleys separated by the long mountain ridges.
