Zwischen Asbach und Windhagen gibt es viele, schöne Wanderwege durch den Wald. Ganz in der Nähe des Jugendzeltplatzes Kirchwies kreuzt einer dieser Wege den Pfaffenbach, einen 20 km langen, urigen Bach, der schließlich in die Wied mündet.

Um den Bach zu überqueren wurde eine 10 Meter lange Holzbrücke mit Metallunterkonstruktion gebaut. Die Wanderwege "W" und "+" verlaufen über die Brücke.
There are many beautiful hiking trails through the forest between Asbach and Windhagen. Very close to the Kirchwies youth camp site, one of these paths crosses the Pfaffenbach, a 20 km long, rustic brook that finally flows into the river Wied.

To cross the stream, a 10 meter long wooden bridge with a metal substructure was built. The hiking trails "W" and "+" run over the bridge.
