The statue was donated by Chuck and Suzanne Buquet in December of 2007. It features Shakespeare in a seated position, holding a scroll in his left hand and a skull and quill can be see just below his right hand. A crown can be seen hanging on the left side of the bench signifying Hamlet. The back has two angels holding a sphere.

Shakespeare was a famous English play writer from the 16th century who wrote Romeo and Juliet, and Hamlet, which are considered some of his best works.
