The one-aisled crucifix church from 1880 with its ridge-top was built on the site of a 17th century hall church that was demolished in 1880. The cemetery is enclosed by a cast iron fence from 1866. The church in eclectic style with neo-Renaissance elements was built according to a design by M. Daalder. The church is a national monument. The current bell from 1948 in the roof rider was cast by Van Bergen in Heiligerlee to replace a bell from 1880 claimed by the German occupier. The bell from 1880 was a replacement for a bell from 1512 cast by Johan van Bremen. This clock from 1512 hung in a church in Schagen until 2003, but is back in Midsland.
