The stone quarry Carrière des Grands Caous is located near Boulouris-sur-Mer between Saint-Raphaël and Agay. The countryside southward between the quarry and the Mediterranean Sea is a nature reserve and habitat for lots of animals. Espcially lizards are very common in this area.
Some dirt roads and hiking paths lead through this area. To protect lizards crossing these paths a couple of warning signs are placed along them. This is one of them.
