12 stolpersteine to remember the persons who once lived here, were arrested and later on murderd in kamps. They all once lived in the "saddest house of Sliedrecht".

At this site a mansion was once here. Because of what happened the house was later on indicated as "Het droevigste huis van Sliedrecht" (The saddest house of Sliedrecht).
Leentje Nederlof was the landlady. In 1942 three jews who lived at Leentjes place were arrested. In 1943, 8 jews in hiding were arrested, and Leentje too.
All of them were murdered.
Four people lived here:
Leentje Nederlof (the landlady), murdered in Ravensbrück, Jaques van Gelderen, Simon van Gelderen, Sophia van Gelderen-Kleinkramer all murdered in Sobibor.
Here were 8 jews hiding;
Joseph de Raaij; Vrouwtje de Raaij-de Jong (wife of Joseph); David de Goede; Julia de Goede-Salomons (mother of David); Rozette van Aalst; Martha Kattenburg-Goldstein (sister in law of Antoinetta and Hester); Antoinetta Rosenau-Fles (siter of Hester) en Hester Kattenburg-Fles (sister of Antoinetta), all of them murdered in Auschwitz.
