Known as the Millennium Wheel, The London Eye is an achievement of design and engineering , built over seven years by hundreds of workers from five different countries.

Following its inauguration in 2000, the astonishing 135-meter high Ferris wheel known as The London Eye has become one of the most iconic icons in the city and across Britain.

The London Eye was the largest Ferris wheel in the world until 2006 when it was surpassed by the Nachang Star in Nachang (China). In 2008, the 165 meters of the Singapore Flyer set a new record.

Inside The Eye
The impressive structure is made up of 32 glass cabins , each weighing 10 tons and with a capacity for 25 people.

The structure constantly rotates at a slow speed to allow people to climb without stopping. The tour through the heights of the city lasts approximately 30 minutes.

London from above
The London Eye offers stunning panoramic views of both the city and the countryside. On clear days it is possible to reach a visibility of 40 kilometers around although, if there is too much sun, the clarity prevents you from seeing some parts of the city.

The ticket includes access to the "4D Experience" , a short three-dimensional short about the city.

As negative points, the main one is that the price is quite high . Another problem is that at certain times the queues to ride can be more than an hour, although that can be solved by reserving the ticket in advance.
