This is a common model with the same common detail, and the family name, "Sparks", is on the base. The front panel reads:

James H. Sparks,
Born May 28, 1814,
Died Sept. 12, 1885

A set of clasped hands is above, followed by an epitaph:

Take them, O
Father, in thine
arms,
and may they
henceforth be
a messenger of
peace between
our human
hearts and thee

The remaining sides have artwork both on the obelisk shaft and on the panel: A keystone (noting Mr. Sparks as a Mason) and psychopomp, an anchor and a cross with roses, and a sheaf of wheat and a Holy Bible. The obelisk is in very good condition, with none of its screws missing. Mr. and Mrs. Sparks also have more traditional headstones nearby, and Mr. Sparks's birth year is given as 1815, also indicated on Findagrave.
