This tree is a mature Sawtooth Oak located in the arboretum of the historical park north of the former Santa Fe Depot.

The tree is dedicated in memory of Frank and Maxine Ellis. Frank (8/13/1912 - 6/19/2003) was born in Mulvane, and served as a police officer. His wife, Maxine (9/10/1913 - 6/27/1986) preceded him in death. They are both buried at nearby Mulvane Cemetery.
