This is a renovated old draw well in the village of Mesquita, located in southern Portugal

The name says it all: "Poço Velho" means Old Well. No one knows when was it originally created but there was a recent renovation and there is a plaque marking it. Inauguration after works took place on the 18th March 2006 with the presence of the municipality (São Brás de Alportel) president (António Paulo Jacinto Eusébio).
There is a bench nearby and a nice cobblestone pavement all around. It's painted in white with blue decoration.
