Lest We Forget
Royal Canadian Legion Branch #260
commemorates and pays homage to our past
and serving veterans who serve so bravely on
land, air and sea.
Depicted are two of 100 Mile Veterans
Ernie Sampson (Ret. Navy) and
Gordon Thorsteinson (Ret. Air Force)
"They shall grow not old, as we that are left
grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years
condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the
morning
We will remember them"

The poem "For The Fallen" by Laurence Binyon is a World War I poem that is featured, in part, on the plaque attached to the mural.
The Legion Mural
The Legion mural and flag on the south wall of Community Hall was funded by the 100 Mile House Legion Branch # 260 and painted by Dwayne Davis and Neil Pinkett in 2009, commemorating two 100 Mile House Veterans Ernie Sampson (Ret. Navy) and Gordon Thorsteinson (Ret. Air Force) and pays homage to all veterans serving on land, air and sea.
There are three large murals located on the outer walls of the Community Hall. The We Will Remember Them mural covers the entire south wall. All three murals were painted by talented artists Dwayne Davis and Neil Pinkett.
