Mal Nombre is about 15 minutes by car north of Morro Jable in southern Fuerteventura. The bay is divided into two parts: In the front part a steep sand dune rises out of the water. In the surf area there is a strip of black stones. Above these rocks you can follow a path along the dune or wade through the water to reach the wider part of the beach.
At the wider beach section you will find a large sandy area. The light beige sand is very fine. Children have plenty of space on the beach at Mal Nombre to romp and build sand castles. The water is clear and the swell is usually low. Access to the water is easy and comfortable in most places. Nude swimming is also possible on the beach at Mal Nombre. As so often on the beaches of Fuerteventura, other swimmers have built small stone castles to protect themselves from the wind and sight, where you can make yourself comfortable.
Mal Nombre is surrounded by a beautiful rocky landscape, interspersed with sandy areas and green bushes: a scenery that is beautiful to look at. On the rocks there are always some atlas croissants. Whoever gives the likeable rodents something to eat is rewarded with a great deal of trust.
