The memorial was created on April 2, 2013. It is a courtyard with a semicircle of short black marble wall with the seals of the armed forces. In the center is a black marble pedestal with "Restless Recovery" on top. Restless Recovery was created in 2010 by Beth Nybeck of Cedar Falls, IA.
The pedestal is inscribed with "For Those Who Served" on one side and
