The Magès dolmen is located on the road from Pannonie to Rocamadour at the top of a ridge, between the valley of the Ouysse and a deep sinkhole. The Cloup de Magès, a large round depression, is about 100 meters away across the street. The dolmen with anteroom, which lies on the axis in the extension of the orthostats, is surrounded by a largely preserved tumulus and is covered by two cap stones (one slightly displaced).
The dolmen has been registered as a Monument historique since 1971.
