Obituary for Charles:
"Charlie Vedder, 76, of New Haven, passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at his home.

"Mr. Vedder was born in New Haven, Missouri on February 9, 1939, the son of the late Adolph and Marie (Borcherding) Vedder.

"He was the widower of Janice E. (Scheer) Vedder. They were married June 27, 1959 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, New Haven. Janice passed away on December 19, 1995.

"He is survived by two daughters, Debi Scott & husband Philip of Austin, Texas and Kim Boland & husband Todd of Villa Ridge, Missouri, a son Kent Vedder of New Haven, a special friend Ann Borcherding of New Haven, three brothers Eugene Vedder & wife Doris, Donald Vedder & wife Vera and Rodger Vedder & wife Carol all of New Haven, a brother-in-law Ralph Scheer & wife Barb of New Haven, two sisters-in-law LaVerne Kirkpatrick of Florida and Anne Scheer of Covington, Louisiana, by his grandchildren Ryan Vedder, Sam & Ted Boland, Mackenzy & Zachary Vedder and Michael & Robert Scott, by his great grandchildren Mila & Ewan Vedder and Jazmine, Xavier & Teceyah Scott, and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife and a brother-in-law Rev. Raymond Scheer.

"Charlie was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, New Haven, where he served as church elder. He was also on the Board of Directors for Boeuf & Berger Mutual Insurance Company and served as president for many years.

"He worked as a warehouse manager for New Haven Filter Company for over 25 years. He also was a farmer his whole life. Charlie enjoyed fishing, hunting, working on the farm and spending time with his family.

"Visitation will be Friday 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, New Haven, Missouri.

"Funeral Services will be held at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, New Haven, at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 25th, with Rev. Mark Goucher officiating. Burial will be at Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery." ~ Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home
