[EN] The parish was established in 1530. In the same year, under the permission of Zygmunt I, Jan Dobrzyniecki, the Zakroczymski podstoli, founded the town of Dobre on his property called Ossowno, under German law. The present church of St. Nicholas, from the foundation of Kamila Jazwinska (heiress of Rudnik), according to the project of Boleslaw Podczaszynski, was built in 1873-1878 thanks to the efforts of Fr. Edmund Smolenski. On August 31, 1878 it was consecrated by Fr. Stanislaw Chrominski.

W tym samym roku, na mocy zezwolenia Zygmunta I, Jan Dobrzyniecki, podstoli zakroczymski, na swoich dobrach zwanych Ossowno, zalozyl miasto Dobre na prawie niemieckim. Obecny kosciól p.w. Sw. Mikolaja, z fundacji Kamili Jazwinskiej (dziedziczki Rudzienka), wedlug projektu Boleslawa Podczaszynskiego, stanal w latach 1873-1878 dzieki staraniom Ks. Edmunda Smolenskiego.
