EN: This abstract sculpture made of sandstone stands in Rheinfelden on the Stadtweg. It is about two meters high and consists mainly of flat surfaces with some rounded hollows.
There are no references to the artist. Next to the sculpture is a slab on the floor with the inscription "Fritz Rickenbacher 1908-1978". It looks like a grave, which it is not. A Fritz Rickenbacher with these dates of life was an architect in Basel, who was also a member of the cantonal parliament for twelve years, but I could not find a relationship to Rheinfelden.
DE: Diese abstrakte Skulptur aus Sandstein steht in Rheinfelden am Stadtweg. Sie ist rund zwei Meter hoch und besteht mehrheitlich aus Ebenen Flächen mit einigen abgerundeten Aushöhlungen.
Es gibt keinerlei Hinweise auf den Künstler. Neben der Skulptur liegt eine Platte auf dem Boden mit der Aufschrift "Fritz Rickenbacher 1908-1978". Es sieht aus wie ein Grab, was es aber nicht ist. Ein Fritz Rickenbacher mit diesen Lebensdaten war ein Architekt in Basel, der auch zwölf Jahre Abgeordneter im Kantonsparlament war, aber eine Beziehung zu Rheinfelden konnte ich nicht finden.
