This beautiful Carnegie library, constructed in 1903, served as a library until 1973 when a newer and considerably larger library was opened in Newton. The building was placed on the National Register of Historic Places the following year, and now houses the Harvey County Historical Museum and Archives. A historical marker on the east side of the building provides a brief history.
