[FR] "30 stalles meublent le choeur des pères chartreux. Organisées en U et ouvertes vers le choeur, elles étaient généralement attribuées au maître hucher André Sulpice, créateur des stalles de la Collégiale de Villefranche de Rouergue et de la Cathédrale Notre Dame de Rodez. Une étude de J. Dubois lui en concède huit, les vingt deux autres pouvant être attribuées à son fils, Etienne Sulpice vers 1490.
Ornées de motifs végétaux ou animaliers sur les miséricordes, et de remplages flamboyants sur les dorsaux, ces stalles, constituent un mobilier exceptionnel parfaitement conservé. A noter aussi quelques appuie-mains remarquables : moins barbus, anges, masques ..."

[EN] "30 stalls furnish the choir of the Carthusian Fathers. Arranged in a U shape and facing toward the choir, they have been generally attributed to the master chest maker André Sulpice, the creator of the stalls of the collegiate church of Villefrance de Rouergue and the Cathedral of Notre Dame of Rodez. A study by J. Dubois confirms only 8 of them as his, the twenty two others possibly attributable to his son, Etienne Sulpice around 1490.
The misericords decorated in plant and animal motifs and gothic tracery on the seat backs, these stalls constitute exceptional furniture in a perfect state of preservation. Note also the remarkable arm rests : bearded monks, angels, masks ..."
