The mayor of A Cañiza, Miguel Domínguez, went with the technicians of the Directorate General of Heritage of the Ministry of Culture of the Xunta to the medieval bridge of Noceifas, in the parish of O Couto, to oversee the work to be developed to rehabilitate and enhance this environment .
The action is carried out through a collaboration agreement that will be signed between the Ministry and the City Council, after the commitment acquired by the Minister of Culture in the last meeting he held with Domínguez.
In the bridge that crosses the river Ribadil and that belongs to the area Rede Natura Baixo Miño, the City Council of A Cañiza has developed in recent years several actions aimed at environmental improvement.
The signing of this agreement will now make it possible to enhance this heritage and tourist resource by removing part of the vegetation that poses a risk to the bridge, bearing in mind that the roots of several trees compromise the stability of the structure.
During the performance, several stones that have fallen on the riverbed will also be relocated and the entire route of the route that goes downstream to the City Council of Crecente will be touched.
Finally, it will be signposted by placing interpretation panels that explain its characteristics as another tourist attraction in A Cañiza.
