The 170 cm tall figure of the saint stands on a 145 cm high sandstone plinth (which appears larger in old pictures).
The base is decorated with a crown, city arms and flowers.
The cartridge shows the following inscription carved:
IOANNES NEPOMVCNE / DEFENSOR HONORIS ORA PRO / NOBIS ET CIVITATE / NOSTRA.
In German: “Johannes Nepomuk, Defender of Honor, pray for us and
our city".
The sandstone figure shows St. Nepomuk with a biretta on his head over a long robe a choir shirt, over it a Shoulder cloak. In the crook of the right arm lies the crucifix, held by both hands, the right hand also holds one Palm branch firmly. In the base is the year 1715.
The late Waischenfelder homeland researcher and Dentist Spürlein suspects Joh. Schwesner, the father of Wenzel Schwesner, as the creator of this work.
The Wiesent-Nepomuk's head was during the Nazi rule cut off by rioting SA men, courageous citizens, however, took him out of the water and set him down back on.

John of Nepomuk (or John Nepomucene) (Czech: Jan Nepomucký; German: Johannes Nepomuk; Latin: Ioannes Nepomucenus) (c. 1345 – 20 March 1393) is the saint of Bohemia (Czech Republic) who was drowned in the Vltava river at the behest of Wenceslaus IV of Bohemia. Later accounts state that he was the confessor of the queen of Bohemia and refused to divulge the secrets of the confessional. On the basis of this account, John of Nepomuk is considered the first martyr of the Seal of the Confessional, a patron against calumnies and, because of the manner of his death, a protector from floods and drowning.
