Jacinto Bara Durán, 47, a native of Vilanova i la Geltrú (Barcelona), died yesterday in Lobios while practicing climbing with a colleague from Tarragona in the ravine known as "Corga da Fecha", in the parish of Río Caldo. The two mountaineers were climbing the well-known waterfall when, for reasons that are still unknown, the victim was unwell and died. The event occurred around six in the afternoon in an area with very difficult access. "Initially we were informed that they were in the vicinity of the most frequented pool, but when the first team arrived they found that they were much higher, in the worst possible place and at a drop of about 10 meters in height," said Rodríguez. Due to the severity of the patient, of whose situation his partner alerted through a call to 112, the medicalized helicopter H4 based in Ourense was mobilized.
