After the fire which ravaged the sacristy in January 2017, "the church of Notre-Dame et Saint-Etienne will be reopened next week", announced the mayor, Roger Aubrée, during the reception of the works, Monday after- noon, in the presence of companies and Frédérique Le Bec, heritage architect.

Severely damaged, the sacristy underwent major structural work, cleaning of the furniture, repairing the walls and the floor and stained glass. A new bay window on the cemetery side has been installed. The building has been consolidated. The Beaufils company, from Saint-Carné, carried out the masonry. The stained glass was repaired by the master glassmaker, Cassandre Hembold. Michel Haquin, carpenter, in Jugon-les-Lacs, carried out the framework and restored the furniture in the sacristy. The company Daniel Leherissé, from Jugon, the electricity and Marc Hivernage, from Plénée, the cover. The maintenance of the bells has been reviewed by Bodet.

For several days now, the bells have been ringing only the Angelus (7 a.m. and p.m.). At the request of the population, the rhythm of the bells will be reinstalled as before, assured the mayor.

The slabs of the church, dusted by the works, will be cleaned by Solvinet and the stalls by Michel Haquin.

The cost of the work is 74,500 € from which financial aid 41,400 € insurance and the Regional Directorate of Cultural Affairs (Drac) must be deducted.

À Jugon-les-Lacs (Côtes-d’Armor), l’incendie qui avait ravagé la sacristie de l’église Notre-Dame, en janvier 2017, fera bientôt partie des mauvais souvenirs. L’édifice va rouvrir lundi 29 juillet.

Après l’incendie qui a ravagé la sacristie, en janvier 2017, « l’église Notre-Dame et Saint-Étienne sera rouverte la semaine prochaine », a annoncé le maire, Roger Aubrée, lors de la réception des travaux, lundi après-midi, en présence des entreprises et de Frédérique Le Bec, architecte du patrimoine.

Très endommagée, la sacristie a subi des travaux importants de charpente, de nettoyage du mobilier, de réfection des murs et du sol et du vitrail. Une nouvelle baie vitrée côté cimetière a été posée. Le bâtiment a été consolidé. L’entreprise Beaufils, de Saint-Carné, en a effectué la maçonnerie. Le vitrail a été réparé par le maître-verrier, Cassandre Hembold. Michel Haquin, menuisier, à Jugon-les-Lacs, a réalisé la charpente et restauré les meubles de la sacristie. L’entreprise Daniel Leherissé, de Jugon, l’électricité et Marc Hivernage, de Plénée, la couverture. La maintenance des cloches a été revue par Bodet.

Depuis quelques jours, les cloches sonnaient uniquement l’angélus (7 h du matin et du soir). À la demande de la population, le rythme des sonneries sera réinstallé comme auparavant a assuré le maire.

Les dalles de l’église, empoussiérées par les travaux, seront nettoyées par Solvinet et les stalles, par Michel Haquin.

Le coût du chantier est de 74 500 € dont il faut déduire les aides financières 41 400 € assurances et la Direction régionale des affaires culturelles (Drac).
