CSC is located on the west side of Warner, a town of about 1600 residents. The school began in 1908 as an agricultural school with 17 students. Today, it is a two-year college with about 3000 students annually.
Degrees are offered in Agriculture (horticulture and equine), Business, biology, Nursing, Allied Health, Social Sciences, Child Development and Psychology. The college began with 160 acres with many more added over the years for academic and agricultural purposes.
1908 - Established as Connor's State School of Agriculture.
1918 - Added additional lands
1930's - Many buildings added to the campus
1940's - Added civilian pilot training, and administrative Army Air Force Technical Training Corps education.. Also under the Veterans Agricultural Training Program, developed courses to assist returning vets in getting re-established
1960's - Grew in academics and campus buildings
1970's - Began off-campus extension classes in Muskogee
1990's - Expanded with additional land and buildings in Muskogee
2000 - Accredited for degree programs at two correctional facilities
The College team is the Cowboys. They offer men's and women's basketball, women's softball, men's baseball, as well as rodeo and shooting sports.
