The Canadian Army APC, designated coded M113A3 is one of two such pieces located on the frontispiece of Royal Canadian Legion Branch 225 in Kakabeka Falls.

The Army had a total of 1,045 M113s, with first delivery in 1965. The designator was changed to M113A1 with the addition of a diesel engine over the original gasoline one.

Final variant was the M113A3, which included a reinforced armour on the underside to protect against IEDS. However, this proved inadequate during UN operations in Somalia and Bosnia and the M113s were removed from service with the arrival of new Grizzly carriers and LAVs (light armoured vehicles).

M113 APC variants are still in service, with phaseout/replacement between 2020 and 2025.
Location restrictions:
Available for viewing 24/7, however, the M113s are next to a Legion cenotaph, where services are occasionally conducted. Govern yourself accordingly.
