The plaque on the monument for Willie Warner states that he was the first member of the Woodmen of the World to pass. The grave is located in Silverbrook Cemetery in Niles, Michigan.
The plaque states:
“In tribute to
WILLIE WARNER
who joined the society April 16, 1891 at the age
of nineteen years, was drowned June 14, 1891
and was the first member to pass to the great beyond
This plaque is placed
by the
SOVEREIGN CAMP, WOODMEN OF THE WORLD”
