Woodberry Forest Cemetery is located on the east side of Highway 70 about one mile south of town. It is a very well kept area with 3554 burials at the time of our visit. The area is flat with a scattering of trees. Paved drives bisect the cemetery in both directions. When it was created, it "swallowed up" the original American Legion Cemetery, which is in a special location within Woodberry.

A thick row of trees surrounds the cemetery, and the railroad runs along its east border.
