This bench in honour of Peter Moyer can be found on Church Road in Onchan. Peter Moyer was an Onchan Commissioner between 1974 and 1990 and served as Commissioner’s Chairman in 1980 & 1987/88.
This dark-coloured wooden bench has a horizontal slatted seat and a vertically slatted backrest. It also has two armrests.
There is a rectangular plaque attached on the backrest of this bench which is inscribed as follows:
‘IN MEMORY OF
PETER MOYER ONCHAN COMMISSIONER 1974-1990
CHAIRMAN 1980 & 1987/88,’
This bench in honour of Peter Moyer on Church Road is outside The Vicarage and faces St. Peter’s Church there are views over the high stone wall toward the Church and both up and down Church Road.
