This bench in honour of ‘John is to the south east of the church alongside a perimeter wall which has a large number of plaques alongside flower holders, which have been provided for family and friends to leave flowers, for those whose ashes have been scattered in the churchyard or elsewhere.

This weathered light-coloured wooden bench has a horizontal slatted seat and a vertically slatted backrest. It also has two armrests.

There is a rectangular plaque attached on the backrest of this bench which is inscribed as follows:
‘YOU CAN’T COME BACK JOHN
WE KNOW THAT’S TRUE
BUT WE WILL ALWAYS LOVE
AND REMEMBER YOU’

The bench is positioned on the south-eastern perimeter of the churchyard and affords views of the church and the churchyard by the side of the church.
