The steeple, with a square base, rises at the crossing of the non-projecting transept, on four powerful composite piers.

Several times rebuilt and once finished with a lead covered spire, the bell tower was rebuilt at the end of the 17th century, the spire was not reinstalled but was replaced by a terrace after having raised the tower by one floor.
