Ærø er en lille ø i Det Sydfynske Øhav. Ærø er Danmarks bryllupsø nummer 1. 4 færgeruter, flere lysthavne, gratis buskørsel og cykelstier over hele øen gør det let at komme omkring på Ærø.
I tidligere tid var der mange søfolk på Ærø som sejlede til andre lande. Nu er det fiskeri, lidt landbrug og turisme der er hovederhverv på Ærø.
Ærø er kendt for sine velbevarede huse og toppede brosten i gaderne. Rundt på øen ses gamle møller, kirker og et gammelt fæstningsanlæg.
Vestlige Ærø er stejle skrænter mod havet og på østkysten lavvandede badestrande. Her finder man også de berømte badehuse, der ligger langs kysten.

In earlier times, there were many sailors on Ærø. Now it is fishing, a little agriculture and tourism that are the main occupations on Ærø.
Ærø is known for its well-preserved houses and topped cobblestones in the streets. Around the island you can see old mills, churches and an old fortress.
Western Ærø is steep slopes towards the sea and on the east coast shallow bathing beaches. Here you will also find the famous bathing houses located along the coast.
