Boron, EB CA-58 - Highway Rest Areas on Waymarking.com

Located a mile and a half east from the route 58 and Gephart Road interchange.

The town of Boron is about 4 miles to the East. And Kramer Borate Deposit Earthcache seven miles from there.

With street names of "20-mule team road" and "Rocket Site Road" one should get an idea of the different types of industry in the area.

• Separate lots for autos and trucks/trailers/RVs. Not by much, just a concrete divider.
• No facilities for RVs (besides the parking)
• Sheltered picnic tables
• Pet area
• The required rest rooms
• Information kiosk with information on the local area, desert, and the wildlife
• Vending area.
• Desert area, beware of rattlesnakes! (There is signage warning of this danger)

• A Blue Star Memorial Highway
• The Caltran's site claims water but all fountains were taped up as my visit of 23-Dec-2006.
