Location Information

St. Pol-sur-Ternoise is a small town 34 kilometres west-north-west of Arras on the N.39 road to Hesdin and Montreuil. The War Cemetery is situated on high ground north of St. Pol some 275 metres north of the old communal cemetery. It is reached by a steep road on the northern side of the old N.39 road from St. Pol to Arras.

History information

There are now nearly 60, 1939-45 war casualties commemorated in this site. The cemetery was designed by Paul Cornu.

Saint-Pol-sur-Ternoise est une petite ville à 34 kilomètres à l'ouest-nord-ouest d'Arras sur la route N.39 vers Hesdin et Montreuil. Le cimetière de guerre est situé sur un terrain élevé au nord de Saint-Pol, à quelque 275 mètres au nord de l'ancien cimetière communal. On y accède par une route escarpée sur le côté nord de l'ancienne route N.39 de Saint-Pol à Arras.

Informations historiques

Il y a maintenant près de 60 victimes de la guerre de 1939-1945 commémorées sur ce site. Le cimetière a été conçu par Paul Cornu.
